I have managed to find another way of sending email within our community and thought I would pass this on as you may find it easier. Go to the members profile that you would like to email, in the top right navigation bar click on menu. In the drop down menu click send message and this brings up a message box that contains the member name that you are emailing. You also have the option to use your address book or email my friends from this message box. If we can assist you with anything else feel free to give any of us a nudge .
I did some searching for you and think I found what you are looking for. The list on the left hand side of your page that you use to navigate through the areas, there is a link for my content. In the drop down menu near the bottom there is a link for messages, which will take you to your inbox. On the right side of the inbox hit compose and you can input the member screen name and send an email to your friend. I hope this helps, and great question I am sure others would love to try out this feature.
I was trying to post to a member friend and when I hit "Invite Friend" it asks for their e-mail address Am I doing something wrong? or am I having a "brain-freeze moment? LOL I was able to do this in the past...it seems if I've kept a message from them, it's easier to respond that way.
Hi mkupjunkie. To invite a friend who is not a member, you can use the 'Invite Friend' button on your page. To do this you must know an email address for them.
To invite someone who is already a member to be your friend, click on their name in a post, or in members list, and the tab is now at the top right hand side, it says 'add to friends list.' When you hit that, a box opens addressed to the person, and you can add a message or leave it blank. Then hit 'send request.'
