I swear by ziploc bags, they have saved me more than once. I like to keep sunscreen and lotion in the van just in case. The heat from the summer actually made it pop the lid and squirt all over...Thank god for the ziploc!

I love ziplock bags. I use them at home for all kinds of stuff. They are a must for travel.

I'm with all of you ladies. When I travel, just about everything goes in some kind of ziplock bag. Now that they have larger sizes a lot of clothes go in as well.

I keep an eye on the travel size bins at the store and stock up when I see brands that I like to use for weekends with family, the gym or travel.

Aren't zip-lock bags the best invention since sliced bread?  LOL!  I'll be using various sizes for my necessities, but they are perfect for traveling.  Actually, they sell "travel" zip-lock that are the precise size and a place to label what is in there for the airport screeners to look at when you're going through security.  Love these because with all the regulations and all, it takes the guesswork out!  :)

I am also a fan of the zip-lock bags. Anything liquid goes right into the bag. I do start stocking up on all the trial sizes or find smaller bottles to transfer items into. It helps so I have space to bring back all the treasure I find when I'm away!

One thing I have definitely learned the hard way is to store anything that can possibly open or leak in the small zip lock bags. It is well worth the time to  pack them. Also remember that if  things are packed in a suitcase that will be in the luggage compartment- air pressure can cause items to expand and therefore leak!

I have had to deal wtih the mess  of having liquids spill out and cover all of my other things--so I now am a zip lock bag fan-

I don't know that there is anything you can do to cut back on your makeup.  Cleansers and things you could either buy the small containers and transfering just what you will need into those.  You can try to buy some trial size things also.  I have seen a make-up bag that actually folds out flat and has pockets to put your stuff in and then just rolls up into the bag so you can carry it.  I would message L.C. to see what ideas she would have, I'm sure she has had a lot of experience with this.

Travel makeup bag!

I have an opportunity later on in the year to go on my first cruise with a friend!  I don't travel much, and I got to thinking about how much I should bring with me in my beauty bag.  I don't want to bring more than I need, so how do I consolidate my makeup bag?  What are "must-haves" in the beauty department when one travels?  What do you do?
