A lot more than beauty goes into a style worthy of emulation, or at least that's the case for me as I've grown older. There has to be some underlying spark of joy and courage. Paris Hilton may have tons of money, but I don't think I have ever seen her look happy or contented.
There is always some inner light that shines in all of the women we've listed, but that same can also be seen in any other profession. I would rather be like Senator Olympia Snowe of Maine than Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson of Texas. In the media, I would rather be like Gwen Ifill than Ann Coulter.
I don't really emulate any specific style or celeb style. I do love the red carpet shows and awards. I just don't have the time to be all glammed up most of the time. I guess I am just a laid back girl next door type of girl.
I'm with PrettyPenny, I think Kate Winslet is flawless, so lovely. I've always thought, too Olivia, That Queen Latifah is a beautiful woman. I love that fact that she is absolutely comfortable in her own skin, and encourages all of us to find that place of comfort in ourselves as well.

I am so glad you said that Olivia, we are each unique in our own way and should be proud of it. For anyone that thinks stars are just born with it go look up stars without makeup. I made sure I pointed out one of these women to my husband who use to just pant about her.

I am all about Carolyn Bessette Kennedy and Gwyneth Paltrow. Of course, this means I have only clothes that are black, tan, or cream, but I am all about the classics.
I admire Susan Sarandon's style a lot, but I think I admire a lot of women who are enjoying the age they are, caring for themselves in healthy ways without artifice.
There is nothing scarier looking than plastic surgery gone wrong.
I also admire Queen Latifah. She has the MOST beautiful skin of any human being I have ever seen. I also like her ads for Jenny Craig, where it's all about health and energy.
As a southern girl, I love Reece Witherspoon, but who I would really like to emulate is Juliette Binoche. When I grow up and old, I want to be a cross between Susan Sarandon and Judi Dench.
Cate Blanchett is lovely for sure! I would have to say though, that if I could pick one star to emulate it would be Nicole Kidman! She has this ethereal beauty that is breathtaking. She reminds me of the stars from the golden age of Hollywood.
Oh yes Reese Witherspoon always looks very put together and classy. I just love that throwback style that Hollywood ladies used to have. I think you have to be born with it.
