My daughter got the Hannah Montana perfume this year, she loves it! It really isn't bad on her either. Sometimes she tends to put on too much, but she is getting better!
BeautyNBeast, thank you for the ideas! I will definately look into those. I think my 9 year old would love the apple scent. She is kind of in the girly but slowly evolving into tomboy phase right now. She wants to smell like a girl but not too much kind of thing. LOL
I was shopping the other day and saw that they have an entire line of Hannah Montana and High School Musical bath and body products for kids! They had body wash, lotions, shampoo, conditioner, lip balm, body spray, etc. I bet a 9 year old would love it! (it all smelled pretty good too. The body washes and shampoo were apple scented.)
Anyone have any ideas of what to get a 9 year old girl beauty wise? She is still a little girl but she enjoys pretty smelly soaps, lotions and fragrances. I just don't want to get her anything too strong for her age. Any ideas?
Zen, exactly! Years ago a friend of mine gave me some Bed and Bath products, I'd never tried them, the scent was so heavenly, it was an fresh, herbally mix and I LOVED it. It became one of my favorites. About two years later they discontinued the fragrance and I was crushed. I've never yet found an equal.
But I agree, gift baslets can get you to expand your experience pleasurably!
My son always seems to give me lotion, tarts and candles in funky scents. He thinks they smell great and I am like oh my way too strong. In January they make their way back to the store to be exchanged. I have even tried to give him the list of scents I love the most. It still does not help lol. Now I take whatever comes and tell him I love it and he never knows I return for my favs. And we both are happy .
Frazzled, it's true that gifts sometimes gets a person out of their tried and true choices. Gift baskets often have smaller sizes of a variety of products which makes them like a grown up Christmas stocking.
I would love to get a basket from any of you lol. Makeup is a very personal basket to give and it helps to know what colors they like; maybe even add a color that they haven't been brave enough to try. Even if they decide they don't like the color after all the gift of having the chance to try it it great.
I agree, SimplyMe! I wish cosmetic counters had gift registries! My niece has asked for makeup for Christmas. She's pretty easy though, she loves the same makeup I wear, she just needs a different shade. I'll be making up a basked of her favorite makeup, a new kabuki brush, makeup remover, candle, bubble bath, etc. She's 18, so this will go over really well with her!
A very timely question! "Black Friday" is just around the corner too!
I always give the gift of beauty to many people on my Christmas list. Fortunately, finding just the right thing for just thr right person isn't too hard because there are so many choices. One of the things I love to give are those gift sets that contain home manicure and pedicure stuff in them. Spa kits, with bubble baths, bath bombs, salts, things like that are always fun. Hope this helps!
