I didn't do it because of the season change, but I just went darker with my hair. I used a dark ash blonde instead of a champagne blonde. I just wanted a change.
A thought occurred to me: do any of you change the color of your hair with the change of seasons? In other words, do you go for darker shades in the fall and lighten in the spring? I've heard of some women who do this and was curious.
I think my skin and coloring has changed so much over the years that when I was younger I was able to wear the shimmery colors now they just look funny looking. I now wear matted eye shadows and they look really nice. I do want to try some new colors this fall and hope they look good!
You're very welcome! Yes, time does go so fast. I was remembering how when my oldest was just born, I could carry him securely in one arm, laid out safe and comfortable, or lay him on my lap and he fit between my knees and belly, with his feet just touching my belly. Now, his big ol' head hardly fits on my lap, lolol. Cherish every second, they are fleeting, but they make memories that are a fabric of exquisite beauty and hand that we can weave around ourselves that give us the queenly bearing of one who has lived well.

I was reading in Allure about the fall colors. The advice they gave about the bolder lip colors was to use a waxy balm on your lips, then useing a lip liner fill in your lips fully and then apply the lipstick.
For the fairer skin tones they recommended sticking to a blue-based wine or fuchsia.
Yes, Dixie, I love the autumn colors in both my wardrobe and makeup- rust, spicey brown/bronze, cranberry, teal (and certain shades of green and red) seem to work best for me.
It's said that purple and turquoise are universal colors, but they seem to wash me out. There's one shade of purple I have in a sweater that works for me, but I don't know what color to call it!
I never thought to wear greens, oranges, or yellows. I don't know if it will look funny, but my intention for this fall is to try new colors and eyeshadow...
The color I can NOT wear is brown unless it is mixed with a ton of other shades. Jewel tones look fine on me so I'm good to go with red, navy, dark green and black.
When I knit for myself, I usually work around grays, blues or reds and highlight with lots of colors including those that look terrible on me in mass but seem to be fine if used sparingly.
Color affects you most when they surround your face, so I always take the most care with the colors around my neck and shoulders.
Oh definately! My hair actually will not frizz out on me so I eagerly anticipate the cooler months of the year! Unfortunately where I live, even in the middle of October, we still have high humidity, so I guess I have to wait until Mother Nature cooperates for me! *sigh!* lol
Yea I notice my hair behaves better during the fall and the winter. Soon you will see pictures of my hair straighten because it holds better and longer.
