I used it one day and the next day I didn't.  My foundation did appear to wear better without it.  The thing is I just bought a new type of foundation and I have to get use to it first so I don't know if it was the primer or if it wasn't.  The day I used the primer it seemed to get spotty looking.  What about yours.

I have applied any primer this week and I've noticed that my makeup seems to look more "worn" by the end of the day than on the days I wear the primer.

Have you tried your primer yet BigKCfan?

lori I wish I had read your response before I went and bought some.  I will be wearing it under estee lauders long wear foundation, hopefully it won't make it wear off to fast.  I had heard that it was suppose to help foundation wear longer.  that is why this site is so nice you can find out what works and what doesn't.

I'm on the fence about primer because it tends to make my foundation wear off faster, but I think Laura Mercier's Foundation Primer (oil free) is about as good as it gets.   I just wish they made one with sunscreen!  You can buy this one on Amazon.com, or on Sephora's website.  Hope this helps!

I'll have to try a mineral one! I love mineral makeup, so I'm sure a mineral primer would be great!

I just got a primer that came with my make up kit and I really like it. It is a mineral one that goes with my foundation. It seems to really grab my make up and it really stays on much longer and gives me better coverage. It is an extra step in the morning and I really try not to forget it.

I'm actually trying out a few brands right now. Everything from store "cheapies" to internet more expensive brands. I've figured out that with all skin types being so different, that everyone seems to like a different primer. Grab you a few different ones and start experimenting. You may just find one you adore! (I'm still working on that lol)

I think I am going to have to try this out. By the end of the day I am looking so faded. I'm sure this would really help.

I bought a primer this weekend (just a cheapie from the store) and I actually like it. It seems to make my makeup go on smoother and look more natural. Now to figure out how to keep it from melting off in the heat! Any suggestions? lol

Petunia, primer is supposed to prep the skin for the foundation and/or powder so it lays evenly and smoothly on the skin.  There are some primers you can get with sunblock in them so you get twice the benefit - making your foundation flawless and protecting you from the sun's harmful effects.  :)

I got a primer with one of my BE mineral orders. I have tried it but I have not noticed any difference. Is it to make your makeup last longer?

I ordered and received a product from Avon called MagiX.  They refer to it as a face perfector.  It smooths the skin for a matte look, and has an SPF 20 and doesn't clog your pores.  It was pretty inexpensive and was on sale.  It was a great deal and it does what it says.

Do you have a Sephora store close? Or what about checking them online? They always have the things I need that the drug stores don't carry.
