Don't you love when that happens, Nitesky?  Getting a "sample" of a new product with something esle you buy, and it turns out to be fabulous!  I bought something similar for my oldest daughter this year for a Christmas present - a gift set of her favorite hair care products and inside is free gloss.  I hope she has the same reaction you did!  :)

I feel like I'm on a constant search for new beauty products! I LOVE trying new things and seeing what I like. Whatever I don't like, my niece always wants! LOL.

Last year I got a lip gloss that came in a package with some other products that I ordered. Since using it I won't go back to anything else. I love it. I have tried using my other ones and they just make my lips feel sticky. That was a fab find for me and now I wear it all the time.

I tend to go back to my old stand by products but every once in a while I will find something new that I really like.

You know ZenKnitter the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"?  I think it applies, don't you?  :)   It's one of my favorite sayings to live by!

Neutrogena does have very reasonably priced cleaners and a favorite of mine, a lotion for cracked heels which I buy often!  :)

When it comes to makeup, I'm sort of chicken. I've used Neutrgena products since I was a teen. I have lots of issues with contact allergies and I've never had a problem with any of these products.

I guess any product is a waste of money that I can't wear of that doesn't work for me. I try samples, but I always just keep going back.

Maybe I'm lazy, but why change what works for me?

Lets face it, the priority of cosmetic companies (or any business) is to get you to buy their  product. Is the money you are spending worth it.  I was thinking that we could put our opinions of products on here in a nice mature way, no bashing just an honest opinion.  I get so tired of spending money on things and then finding they either don't work or were not worth the price I paid for them.  If you have tried a sample of a product and you had enough to form an opinion of the product, tell us about it.

Primer:  since I ask about this one I will put it first.  I really wish I had read Lori's opinion before I made a decision to buy.  I think it would be good for short term use, say you were haveing pictures made and wanted a smooth look.  In the long term it tended to make my foundation look splotchy.

Estee Lauder long wear foundation:  I guess it is ok, but I don't think that is worth the price which was $38.00 that I paid for it.

Loreal Hair Color:  Big yes, loved the color and best of all I didn't sit there with my eyes watering and nose burning due to the smell.  The scent was nice. It also didn't give me the look of coloring, left some really nice highlights like natural color has.

John Frieda Volume Shampoo:  I tried this as a sample and went out and bought it including the styling products.  The price I bought it at was around $6.00.  It really does what it claims.

Olay Reginerist micro scupting cream:  I like this, it makes my face feel nice and smooth.  It can be used DAY and NIGHT.  Instead of having to puy different ones.  I have aveeno night cream and garnier nutritioniste and I like them both, but the olay was just a better product for me.  It is worth the $25.00 I spent on it, plus I got a bonus product with it.
