Jun 16, 2008
I started excercising! I am considering Saturday, June 14, 2008 as my official start date. I have been doing some here and there, but this is really the date I committed to it. I am walking 3 miles a night (except for softball nights), I am riding a bike once a day with my daughter, started this yesterday and made a whole 10 minutes. lol. This doesn't discourage me though because I have been doing the same thing swimming laps at the pool and everytime I get a little further I feel great about it.

I am also making healthier food choices. I love coca-cola and will never give it up entirely, but I am cutting back on it and replacing it with flavored waters (I can't stand plain water) or vitamin waters. These may not be as good for me as plain ole water, but they still hydrate me. I am using brown rice and wheat pastas instead of tradional pastas and white rice. Instead of giving up things I like I am cutting back, I think it is discouraging to give up everything you have always liked.

I am not looking for overnight success, but I can tell things are already going on. I actually sleep better and although my stress level is still high right now I can see a difference in this to.
